Part 4
Her eyes opened slowly and her head swirled with different images, she looked around at the fuzzy and spinning world, she concentrated on what at first looked to be canes that twisted and turned until they clearly became bars. She sat up shaking off her uneasiness before getting up. She stumbled around trying to regain her balance before grabbing the bars and settling herself, trying to stop her head from spinning �Drugs� she sounded.
�Like that effect huh?�
She looked up, and stood face to face with Wesley �Well� she smirked �A watcher�well, not really anymore right? Weren�t you fired?�
�I know what you are��
�Then you know I could rip your throat out right now.�
�And you can�t hurt anyone here��
�Here? In the belly of the beast?� she laughed �Do you really believe that.�
Wesley stepped up to the bars �You can�t hurt anyone.�
She smirked, Blaze grabbed him through the bars and pulled him toward her �Are you sure?� she asked.
�Where�s Wesley?� Fred asked.
�He�s watching Blaze� Gunn told her �He said he�d feel safer watching her then letting her be like Angel said.�
�I have a strange feeling� Fred said looking toward the door to the basement.
�Don�t worry about it� Gunn said handing her a batch of sage.
Lorne walked into the room with a orb of Thessela in his hands, he set it down on the alter �Alright, that�s it� he said �Shall we get started?�
�Where�s Angel?�
�Right here�
She turned to see Angel standing there, �Let�s get this going� he said.
She let go and Wesley fell to the ground shocked she�d been able to do that. She smiled down at Wesley �Not really what you expected right?� she asked �In all seriousness I didn�t either, but I know that I�m not a normal vampire, and judging by the look in your eyes you know that...�
Wesley looked up at her �What are you doing here?� he asked �Why LA of all places?�
�You people really like to change the subjects fast. But I guess I should indulge you�after all I�d think it would be quite obvious� she said �I mean it�s right in front of you, with the clues, and the scrolls� and the vampires.�
Wesley stood �Angel.�
She smirked and nodded �I thought you would have figured it out about now�I mean you are the brains in this opposition aren�t you. You know, I�m actually surprised you haven�t tried using your multimillion-dollar recourses. I guess I expected too much from you. I mean you�ve been on the watchers council since you were a teenager, and you couldn�t even figure it out by now. I guess this city�s made your body strong, but your mind soft� she told him �Maybe it went soft before you got here�that�s why you were fired right?�
Wesley began to back up �How did you know that?�
�So it is�a poor, pathetic, useless English man trying to fit in on this side of the Pacific�go home.�
�You know nothing about me� he told her.
She smirked �I know more about you than you know. For instance, you don�t really have a purpose here, they could really do without you. I mean Fred�s the brain, Gunn�s the brawn, Lorne�s the mind reader, Angels the boss�but what are you? I mean�besides the one that screws every thing up.�
Wesley looked to be in deep thought so she kept going �I mean in the beginning, you had no idea how to handle Buffy, then Faith�you made sure she wouldn�t trust anyone else. You screw that up big time, then you hunted the wrong demon you�d been chasing, and Angel and Cordelia didn�t even want you here, and you kidnapped Angel�s son, ultimately making sure that Conner would never love his father.�
Wesley looked up at her with a confused look and she smiled �Oh yeah�you don�t remember. And what about when Fred went to you for help from Jasmine? You tattled on her faster than a five year old on the playground�almost got her killed. What would you have done? Imagine if Fred had gotten killed, how would you be able to live with yourself knowing that you could have been her savior, instead of her executioner, and knowing that she was only trying to help you.�
His head had seemed to droop more and more, and she knew he was about to blow up �Useless piece of English trash� she said.
�Something�s wrong� Angel said looking to the elevator door.
�Angel� Fred said �Wesley can take care of himself, he�s smart.�
�Not as smart as her� Angel said.
�How do you know?� Gunn asked.
�Because I�ve met her before� Angel said �Now hurry, before it�s too late.�
He then walked toward the elevator and tried to open it pushed the down button. Once in the basement they all made their way Blaze�s cell Angel reached out to open the door leading to her cell, �Oh no� he said.
�What is it?� Fred asked.
Angel looked to her �It won�t open� he said.
�We should��
�You should go back upstairs�you have all resources for the spell�use them.� Angel told her.
She stood hesitant for a bit before turning and took Lorne with her to the elevator.
Wesley looked up at her �Shut up� he told her.
�Ooh� she smiled �the anger, the aura, it gives it all away. I can tell right now�you know I�m telling the truth. That�s what brings out the anger. I haven�t even started. Let�s talk about killing Lilah.�
�Your lying!� he said hitting the bars.
�Please, had it not been for you�Lilah would actually be alive�admit it.�
�I saved her!�
�Yeah�you were so knightly against Angelus.�
�Stop lying!�
�And what are you going to do about it?� she asked �Nothing, why? Because you�re everything I said you were�nothing.�
He pulled out a cross and the key to the cell �I�ll show you� he said.
Angel pulled on the door and banged on it �Wesley!� he called �Wesley don�t listen to her!�
Fred chanted the words, as Lorne surrounded them with his batch of sage.
Angel ran into his office, grabbed a sledgehammer, ran out and began to beat it against the door.
Gunn grabbed the nearest fire extinguisher before running after Angel and following his lead.
�Do you really think you can take me?� she asked as Wesley opened the door �You couldn�t go a round with Angel, and you honestly think you can fight me.�
She laughed sinicaly.
�I will destroy you� Wesley said.
�What�s wrong Wes?� she asked �Afraid I might actually break it to the others what you are? Don�t worry�they already know.�
�Your evil will end now� he said holding up the cross.
She looked to the cross, then to him and smirked �Pathetic.�
The cell door suddenly slammed shut.
Fred chanted the words loudly her eyes widening as the orb began to glow. Suddenly it floated into the air�then shattered.
Angel beat against the door again and again trying desperately to get it open, when finally it flew open and Angel flew backward and landed on the other side of the room, he watched as a bright light came from the basement and faded. Wasting no time he jumped up, ran to the stairs and down them. �Wesley!� he called.
The light faded from the basement and he looked around �Wes?�
Inside the cell lay Wesley in the middle of it, with Blaze laying against the wall on the other side. Gunn came through the door, �What did she do?� Gunn asked.
Angel walked up to the cell and quickly unlocked it. He ran up to Wesley and checked his pulse. Gunn stepped into the cell and rushed to Wesley�s side. �He�s alive,� Angel announced, before turning his neck to the side to reveal a blood trail leading up to a bite mark.
Wesley groaned and warily began to open his eyes.
Angel looked to Blaze sitting beside the wall smiling. He looked her over carefully �What did you do?� Angel asked.
She looked up at him �I got hungry.�
�Will he be okay?�
�Hell if I know.�
Angel stood quickly and backed away from her, Blaze got up and watched him carefully �It�s a very for filling feeling isn�t it?� she asked �To taste the blood of a watcher. Almost like a slayer�but you would know more about that than me wouldn�t you father.�
Realization and shock hit Gunn, and his jaw dropped to the floor, Blaze him then back to Angel �Oh�they didn�t know� she smiled.
Everyone stood in shock, except Angel.
