Linda's Beach Wedding

June 3, 2005

Our intimate, romantic wedding ceremony was supposed to have been directly on the beach, but due to a monsoon like rain, we moved it into a tiny chapel at the edge of the sand. Just before we were entering, it stopped and a rainbow appeared. I froze with fear in the doorway. I could feel in my heart everything that had been said to me by the Knotties on the 2nd wedding board. Our 4 children walked down the aisle first. I wore the brightest white dress you've ever seen with aqua along the v-neck, length to my toes, I was barefoot. I carried some beautiful, exotic flowers and I walked down the aisle with my husband to be. My husband had tears down his face while saying his vows to me. At the end, our minister gave a brief family blessing for the 6 of us.

We did some photos on the beach then had our reception on a big tented patio in the dunes. We had intimate tables of 4, seashells with flowers for the centerpieces, dance floor and DJ all outside. Inside the club, we had the buffet, bar, beautiful pale aqua wedding cake with shells, grooms cake, some tables plus my surprise for Bob, a huge chocolate buffet. After our first dance, I got changed into my 2nd dress, a pale aqua, very sexy, long straight gown and my dancing shoes!

We had a beautiful, fun wedding that evening which is exactly what we wanted. And it's important to say two final things. One, I did this without any support from my extended family and two, I could not have done this without that support from The Knots Second wedding ladies! 1
