Why the Native American trickster spirit Coyote chose to possess half Cherokee
Jack Redfoot isn't entirely certain, but the event would certainly alter his life forever. Angered at his banishment to the desolate reservation land, Coyote sought to meld his existence with Jack's own, creating a mighty avenger to bring destruction to the
"white-man's" encroaching civilization. Be it his mixed heritage or his indomitable will,
something in the young man refused to be overtaken. The vengeful spirit was expelled from
his body, but not before permanently altering his body and mind. Possessed of an over
powering urge to avenge, Jack returned to New Haven where he fights for a city that hardly
recognizes his painted face.
