Brunhilde the Bold
Ancient Warrior Queen of the Valkyries
As the ancient tale is told, Brunhilde, the queen of the Valkeryies, was imprisoned
in a ring of fire for defying Odin, to be rescued only by a mighty hero. Many years
later that hero would prove to be, the original Star Spangled Man, David Betterman. On a secret mission in
Nazi controlled Germany, the all American hero happened upon her unconscious form
while tailing Hitler's magic seeking goons. Impressed with the man's valor in
battle, Brunhilde has lent her battle prowess and weather controlling powers to
the fight against oppression and has acted as a guardian of sorts for all who take
up the mantle of the Star Spangled Man. When the current incranation of the
famous hero was ejected from the Knights, Brunhilde became disenchanted with the
work of heroes, and has not been heard from since.
