IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please go over your child's day with him/her.  Showing interest and excitment in school will help foster their enjoyment of school!

We have new math books this year-thanks to the Parent Group.  I think parents will find that it connects home and school well.  A letter home will precede each new chapter, and there is an at-home workbook.  You should always know what is happening in math!

Welcome!
We have a lot happening in second grade and want to share with you!
Hello Parents and Students!

Reconciliation was beautiful!  The next day, the children wrote that it was, "fun and easy."  Some were a litte nervous, but when it was over thought it was great.  One wrote, "I am free of sin now, and closer to God."  Another wrote, "it was easy and my mom cried."  Overall, the children were excited and thrilled to have made such a wonderful sacrament!

              May God Bless You!
HOMEWORK AT A GLANCE:
Math-Practice addition and subtraction facts daily.  You should be working on memorizing the facts.

Reading-Read 10 minutes each night.
Monday and Tuesday you should read the story from your reading book.
Practice reading the vocabulary words that are on the study sheet.  These words are not only in the story, but are also in the workbook pages and on quizzes and tests!  You should be able to read them and know what they mean-or be able recognize their correct use in a sentence.

Religion-
Check your study sheet each week for specifics.  Please do not write in your religion book unless indicated on the Study Sheet.  Read over the pages we do in class.  The review at the end of the chapter is a good indicator of what the test will be like!  Tests are usually on Thursday.
