Jocelyn's concern as an artist is with renewal; her themes - the rediscovery of cultural heritage in contemporary concept; her colors - those of the earth; her materials -canvas, clay, recycled paper, wood, metal and bones; her tools - natural pigments, traditional brushes and restless hands.

She exhibits mostly in Mexico, in the city and province, in museums, cultural centers and galleries. She has shown in New York and Dallas. She has taught life drawing and painting techniques for years and is now taking a Master in psychotherapy and is planning group sessions using art as
expression and purpose

About the painting
HARMONY
"One of the aztec rites was the sacrifice of young women to conciliate the return  of spring, with all its attributes of new life, freshness and beauty.
The bodies of those chosen for this communion with the gods were painted cobalt blue and earth ochre.  During the ritual passing from one room to another of the temple they pressed their hands against the walls leaving their prints as a symbol of eternal existence."

Both artists drew live during the performance.
