Last time on Power Rangers Second Zeo:
"A.Q., Tommy's demorphing, now Adam's feeling weak. Teleport them back, Please!" Suddenly, missiles hit Goldar and Scorpina. Xetro missiles. They disappear with a yell of "We'll be back."
"Rangers, prepare to teleport to the Island. As you can now tell, there is a matter of great urgency we must discuss," announces AQ.

"You see Havoc, the Rangers are significantly weakening. And with Billy's device gone..."
"Let's toy with the Rangers before our invasion," laughed Havoc. "Finsto, what's you're attack strategy?"
After Finsto walked in, it was the Finster face who spoke first: "My Garbageman monster will attack the Warehouse district, fully grown"
"While my superior Goldgoyle will attack, also fully grown, in the mountains just outside Angel Grove" replied Porto's voice. If you stood close enough to Finsto, you could hear Finster's head mutter: "At least I make my own monsters..."
Havoc looked at Vile. Simutaneously they ordered: "Attack!!"

Title Sequence

"AQ, what's going on...what happened.." began Tommy angrily, then stops when he sees AQ collapsed on the floor, hands in knees.
"Tommy, guys, I know I've messed up, you don't have to rub it in." Alpha walks in, and rubs AQ comfortably on the shoulder. "Here's your explanation. I used some of my powers to feign the rest of your Zeo Crystal...half doesn't exist...technically. Result: your powers aren't complete, and therefore unstable. Billy was working on a device to compensate for the unstable powers..."
Alpha continues for the now-silent AQ: "That device was to compensate for the missing Zeo Crystal. Without it, you're futures are in very question"
Computer concludes: "Your Powers almost redlined in battle just now. Soon, your powers will redline, become too unstable and weak, as you morph, so my systems will abort your morphing sequence."
Kat walks up to Aquamarax: "How long have you known this? Why didn't you tell us sooner" she asks gently.
"Your powers have been redlining since your...second battle? Billy and I have been working on the Compensator since. I didn't tell you as I didn't want you to loose your faith in me - after all, I'm no Zordon..."
"You're doing fine AQ. Just be honest with us, that's all." replies Kat, and hugs AQ. Aquamarax replies with a weak smile, which disappears quickly when the alarms sound.
"Two fully grown monsters in Angel Grove!" replies Computer. "The Zeo Megazord is online, but the Battlezord isn't as yet, neither is the Battle helmets!"
"Good luck Rangers" calls AQ as the Rangers leave.
"Aquamarax, what about the powers now? It will take too long to make a new compsensater?" asks Billy.
"Wait until Computer has finished his analysis first..." finishes AQ.

Commercials

The Zeo Megazord launches into battle against Goldgoyle, who quickly blasts at the Megazord before Tommy and Tanya can get close enough to respond. Zeo Zord III takes the brunt of the damage, exploding and dropping the outer skin, revealling the shell and circuits underneath.
"Aw man, we've gotta end this now! Zeo Megazord Saber, power up!" Summons Tommy, the cockpit exploding around the cramped space. The sabre, like the Turbo sabres used on Goldgoyle before, has no effect. Goldgoyle blasts at the Megazord again, and the Megazord falls around the area, and Tommy and Tanya demorph and are teleported out. Goldgoyle laughs and disappears.
"We call on the power of the Super Zeo Megazord sabre...now!" yells Adam. This Megazord is successful in destroying the weaker Garbageman. The significantly weaker rangers then get teleported back.
Back at the Island, AQ has an announcement: "Rangers, I have news. We have found some...thing which energy signiture is similar to the Zeo Powers."
Billy continues:"We don't know if this will work, but we believe if we filter in the Zeo energy through this, it will regulate it and emit the similar Zeo energy."
AQ concludes: "You have a choice: Will you take this gamble?"
