CUBA 2000

The Pearl
of
the Antilles

Right after Easter this year I had the priviledge of going once again to Cuba!! It was quite an awesome experience. This trip the relationships that were forged last year were strenghtened, Glory to God!! Also many new freinds and contacts were made as doors were open to work in churches, homes and giving out tracts and Christian literature in the streets of La Habana. It is hard to exlain the burden God has put on my heart for the people of this controversial island nation. Cuba is SO much more than cigars and Castro!!!

Certainly there are many opinions about Cuba even more so with it being very much the last six month in the news with young Elian Gonzalez and his family. Even Christians are divided on what should or shouldn't happen in that case.

Enough of that! :-) Let me tell you just a bit about what I was able to do in Jesus name while I was there for almost three weeks.

The goal this time was to take in Christian literature in particular for the teachers of children. They have no where to buy material to instruct young kids and they so desperately want to educate and build a good solid foundation. I took material also to make salvation bracelets and several other crafts.

Ciego de Avila in the middle of the country was one of my main locations to work and I had from 15 kids in one group to 100 making salvation bracelets. In all the churches that I had been before last year we made a different craft to illustrate a Biblical priniciple, God's promises to us, our need to offer sacrifices of praise and how the cross represented God's great love to each one of us!! GLORY TO HIM!!!!!

Here let the pictures below speak to you and see the faces of brothers and sisters we have in Cuba. PLEASE remember to pray for them. Many of them are REAL heroes!!!
