FOX EVOLUTION

Some good points are speed. It goes up fast! I think the only bivvy that challenges it on setup speed would be the Brotel. On my second or third session out with this bivvy a few mates timed me putting the bivvy up and then taking it down. I managed to put the bivvy up in 30 seconds, and then take it back down in 20 seconds...all done in under a minute! It would then take about 1 minute to peg it. The Winter skin takes about 1-2 minutes to clip on, so altogether we are talking about a bivvy which can be up and FULLY sorted with storm poles and pegs in under 5 minutes. Verastility. The shape of the bivvy can be changed from its normal position (photos above) and made wider and lower (windy conditions) or slightly taller and narrower (tight swims). This makes it very versatile indeed and you soon get the hang on shaping it quickly when setting it up in order to fit in your own personal tackle layouts i.e. Bedchair position, bivvy table etc etc The door is zipped down both sides and is attached by these and a strip of Velcro at the top...in other words, in the summer simply unzip both sides to the top and rip the door out to make things more comfortable. Strength. The storm poles shown are the Cygnet storm poles and these fit it perfectly (they fit inside the 4 pegging rings on the bottom half of each door and hold it nicely.

Some bad points are the price. This is an expensive bivvy system. Although I believe that it is currently the best all round bivvy available I still think its a little pricey (once you have bought the Winter Skin and groundsheet too!) Shape. Thie bivvy rolls up to approx. 6tf long.
