NEVER overlook good old fashioned Bread!!

A floated crust tossed into the margins can be even more attractive to a hungry carp than a highly flavored boiled bait. Fished on a hair rig using a small lead shot to mould your bread around helps to both hold the bait on and to help it sink slowly (Excellent on silty or weedy bottoms).

In 1951 Bob Richards broke the UK Carp record with a 31 1/4lb catch on Bread dipped in runny honey!!! Who said Dips were a new invention?
