BOILIES

There are a thousand and one varieties of boilie available in almost every tackle shop in the country, so why on earth would you want to make your own? Simple. I obtain far greater pleasure in catching a 10lb carp using a bait I've lovingly prepared myself than I do catching a 25lb'er on a shop-bought boilie. Don't get me wrong, ready made boilies are probably far superior to my own humble efforts, but with home-made boilies I know exactly what has gone into the mix. Making your own is also infinitely cheaper.

Personnalyy I like to use the chocolate malt boilies as they work best whrere I fish. You just need to find the boilie that the carp go crazy where you live.
