Epilogue

None of these pictures really describe the jaw dropping scenery in the region.
If raw, high-altitude solitude is your thing, get to Ladakh.

A rhetorical question we all asked when we came upon the Morey plains was,
"How in gods name is one supposed to capture this on film, or on video"?

There are 2 big lakes around Leh called Pangong Tso and Tso Moriri,
which unfortunately, we could not visit.

You can find the semi-precious stone, Garnet, occuring naturally around Pangong Tso.
Yyour jeep driver may collect some for you, while you soak in the smorgasbord of colors in the water.
Check on Army restrictions around the lake, half of it belongs to China.
There is usually a unit of the über elite Para's here.

Tso Moriri is as remote as it is beautiful.
Definitely worth the extra time, not to mention the ride.
Nearby, Tso Kar, which has brackish water, is just as much fun to pitch up around.

We'd cross oceans to ride in a place like this again.

If we could go back and change anything about the ride, we wouldn't change a thing.

We are also coming out of our slumber and will update the site with maps, GPS co-ordinates, weather and road conditions in a few weeks.
