Thoughts about Music
by Sebastian Noelle

- All music is aggression. On a micro and macroscopic level. We BREAK the silence. We better break it for a good reason and replace it with something that is close to being as pure and valuable as silence. We HIT the drum, BEND the strings, we are FORCING some sort of membrane out of it's natural position. Can there be a justification for this?

- I'm looking for the absurd, the total nonsense in music and in life. Something that I can give meaning to, because it hasn't been given meaning by anybody else.

- It might be impossible to think about music in a constructive manner. It can be fruitful, though, to think about connections between music and everyday life.

- The "time" always stays the same - even if we get faster or slower.

- More music lies in the lullaby that the mother whispers to her child in her crooked voice, than in any virtuoso opus of a so called artist.
