"My goal as a teacher is to enrich people's lives by giving them music as a powerful tool for self-expression and towards self-fulfillment. I truly believe that learning a musical instrument can enrich peoples' personal lives as well as contribute to an overall peaceful spirit. The joy of playing together, expressing feelings and original ideas in composition and improvisation is an immediately rewarding experience. Music can speak beyond words. In my students I want to bring together the physical and the intellectual in a natural way that only music can achieve. I'm always trying to be attentive to the unique personality of each student. In my opinion the best teacher is he who guides the person towards the discovery of their full potential. It takes patience, dedication, spontaneity and alertness.
I have vast teaching experience in the fields of Guitar (Jazz, Classical, Pop/Rock, Folk/World Music), Improvisation, Ear Training, Sight Reading and Basic Jazz Piano Skills. Also, I have been a professional performer/composer for over ten years now. My educational background includes a Graduate Diploma from New England Conservatory in jazz guitar, a diploma in composition, pedagogy studies, two years of classical guitar college studies and jazz piano.
I have taught enthusiastically at music schools as well as private lessons for eight years and a considerable number of my students went on to study at music colleges as the renowned Amsterdam Conservatory."

Sebastian's primary teachers include John Abercrombie, Gene Bertoncini, Jerry Bergonzi, Bob Brookmeyer, Bob Moses, George Russell, Joe Maneri, Rank Blake and Frank Kuruc.
He is part of the jazz faculty at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. This school has a great and very affordable undergraduate and graduate diploma program.
