After the successful launch of the online version of the school paper last 2001, it took a long time before it was updated. The issue of Sebastinian Echo for the school year 2001-2002 wasn't distributed and it seems like there is only one solution: to find another webmaster who is still studying at San Sebastian to publish the articles online. Not long enough, Michael Poblete, the first webmaster of echonews, found someone who can actually take his place. And then it happened. On the summer of 2002, Angela Solis, an amateur web designer and a 3-year staffer of Echo, became the second webmaster of the school paper's website. But it didn't stop there. After a few weeks of school works and activities, she thought that being the sole moderator of the site is quite tougher than she expected. And it seems like heaven answered her prayers without actually asking for one. She actually found her companion. He was just a door away from her classroom. The saviour's Niño Vales, and they didn't actually know each other after four years of seeing each other's face inside the campus -- until now. One would think that it is an uncanny partnership between these two young web developers, both seniors in the high school department. The first time they talked, she was still worried on how to create a site. When he met her, he didn't realize that he will be a part of the school paper in just a snap. These two, who first met in a web designing contest didn't expect to work together. And yes, there is always the presence of teasing and annoying each other. Really weird indeed how these two suddenly pop out the chemistry and decided to work together as a team. The associate editor/webmaster had experienced asthma forcing her to leave school for a week, allowing her to finish the first part of the site. |
