The program was started by a band exhibition from the San Sebastian College-Recoletos de Cavite Band, immediately followed by the entrance of the Policy Board, Mr. Eric Buhain, guest speaker, and the Management Committee. The parade of athletes and muses took place, and the participants are as follows: Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Calamba; De La Salle Lipa; Lyceum of Batangas; Philippine Christian University, Dasmariñas; San Sebastian College-Recoletos, Cavite City; University Of Perpetual Help System, Laguna; and St. Benedict College, host school.

The invocation was led by the St. Benedict College Chorale and was conducted by Mr. Reynante Izon. The display of colors and school flags, shortly followed and after which the Philippine National Anthem was directed by the St. Benedict College Chorale. The Saint Benedict College cheering squad delivered a production number to keep the audience alive. Soon after, Rev. Fr. Aloysius A. Maranan, OSB, president of the Policy Board introduced the guest speaker, Mr. Eric Buhain, chairman of the Philippine Sports Commission. Thereafter, the raising of the NCAA-South flag was done by all the team captains from all school participants. The Oath of Sportsmanship was led by Artemlis Lot C. Almeda, team captain of the Saint Benedict College Basketball team men. The season was formally opened by Rev. Fr. Aloysius A. Maranan. Finally, the ceremonial toss was directed by Mr. Eric Buhain. The opening was emceed by Mrs. Cynthia Manalo and Mr. Rommel E. Corro II.

The Opening of the NCAA-South ended at 10:30 in the morning.
