SATURDAY MORNING
Sailor here.

This morning Mom and I went on our usual 2 mile walk, jog, pee, sniff, walk,
poop and smile rounds.  You can guess who did what.  Mom says that in the ten
minutes it took me to learn how to shake hands last night, she must have gone
overboard on the beef jerky treats because this morning I was, to put it
mildly, a bit gassy.  I quite enjoyed tooting around the neighborhood and
things were just dandy until we reached the Little League field.

The boys in orange were practicing before the game.  Mom calls it warming up,
but actually it was quite cool.  I tooted up to say Hi and to see if anyone
was holding a peanut butter sandwich.  (Kids are like moving vending machines
at the park and full of gustatory opportunity.) They had HUGE hands and
thorns on the bottoms of their feet but no sandwiches or cookies.  With hands
that big, they really missed the boat.  Imagine how many cookies they could
hold!

Anyway, all of a sudden, they started to giggle, laugh, and roll on the
ground in hysterics.  I can't imagine why.  Mom says that being 9 year old
boys, my tooting was obviously the object of their glee, but I really think
they were knocked over by my handsome summer coat and my great big grin.  I
did my happy dance, tooted a little more, and then Mom and I went on our way.

I am so glad my great looks could bring so much joy into the hearts of those
boys.  Mom says I probably supplied the whole team with at least two week's
worth of laughter.  Tomorrow, I plan to take Mom to Baskin-Robbins where
children abound.  There are more vending opportunities there these summer
days than at the baseball field.
