Melody by William Steffe?
Julia Ward Howe, 1819-1910
Mine eyes have seen the glory Of the coming of the Lord; He is trampling out the vintage Where the grapes of wrath are stored; He hath loosed the fateful lightning Of His terrible swift sword; His truth is marching on. Chorus:
Glory! glory, hallelujah!
2. I have seen Him in the watchfires
3. I have read a fiery gospel |
4. He has sounded forth the trumpet That shall never sound retreat; He is sifting out the hearts of men Before His judgment seat; O be swift, my soul, to answer Him; Be jubilant, my feet! Our God is marching on. Chorus:
Glory! glory, hallelujah! 5. In beauty of the lilies,
6. He is coming like the glory |

The main source of information for this LB II List is the
P.O.W. Network data base of
synopses compiled in 1990 by the Homecoming II Project from one or more of the following
sources: raw data from U.S. Government agencies, correspondence with POW/MIA
families, published sources, and interviews, in addition to information from
Day to Day Accounts as written by
D. Poole.
I have tried to ensure that this LB II List is accurate.
If you find any errors, please contact me and I will immediately
correct them.
Please note that several individuals were promoted while missing.
This LB II List shows each individual's rank/rating as of the
recorded date of loss, while the alphabetical HONOR ROLL shows the highest
rank/rating attained.
Note:
During my enlistment in the USAF during the Vietnam
War, I was assigned to both Tactical Fighter Squadrons and Field
Maintenance Squadrons as a combat aircraft support personnel stationed
at UDORN Royal Thai Air Force Base, in Udon Thani, Thailand. Many of
the missions being flown from UDORN RTAFB, were in support of both
LINEBACKER I (May 10, 1972 - October 23, 1972) and LINEBACKER II
(December 18, 1972 - December 29, 1972) operations.
I did not serve with any of the B52 Strategic Air Command units, who so
gallantly flew the missions into North Vietnam during the 11 days of
Linebacker II known as the "1972 Christmas Bombings of North Vietnam".
