Here are some simple suggestions:
1 pony for roughly 10 children is a good guide line (especially if under the age of 5). If you have more children you can add another pony. If you want more riding time, I suggest 2 ponies. Children love to ride in pairs. Renting the ponies for 1 hour is typically enough time for a birthday party, unless your party is going to be longer than 2-1/2 hrs. Most birthday parties are 2 to 2-1/2 hours long. You will also need time for cake, presents, and games. We have a rainy day guarantee!
Theme parties and other fun things
Cowboys and Sheriff: Birthday boy/girl being the Sheriff. "Shoot low Sheriff, they're riding Shetlands!" Toy Story: Woody and his horse Bullseye. "There's a snake in my boot!" Zorro: I have a great cape and a 'black' pony. "Ole!" Unicorn: What prince or princess wouldn't like a unicorn ride for there birthday! Ask about unicorn availability. Pony 101: Emphasis is on education, and FUN!----------> (popular with 6 and up.) Anything with horses; use your imagination, and we will do our best to accomidate!
Poloroids! Each kid goes home with a picture of themself on a pony. A great keepsake! You can have the kids decorate their own poloroid frames, available at most craft supply stores and photography supply stores, or make your own. You may have free use of my poloroid camera. You buy the film, Poloroid 600.
Make placemats using my print out pages! (links are above and to the right) "parts of the horse" and/or a funny cartoon pony (my logo). They can color the pages while waiting for lunch or cake. Take 35mm photos! The prints can go in the thank you letters. Grooming! We bring a groom box so the kids can brush and comb, and are welcome to ask questions. Feed the ponies! Carrots or cut apples wedges are just delicious! But remember, they are little ponies with little mouths and take a long time to chew if the pieces are too big. Feeding is done at the end of the hour only. We have had trouble with some of the ponies concentrating on their work when snacks are nearby! So, hide the goods! |
