Affordable Methylation Pathway Analysis Testing

POOR METHYLATION = POOR DETOXING = POOR RECOVERY

Some LD patients with Genetic Mutations called SNP's or Single Nucleotide Polymorphism's are predisposed to being poor detoxer's. This has impeded the progress of some LD patients from getting better.

23andMe received more than $1/2 Million Dollars in Grants from the NIH and has drastically reduced prices for SNP testing.

23andMe has paired with GeneticGenie to generate a "Methylation Analysis" for patients.

With a Methylation Analysis in hand patients can go to a doctor specializing in advising clients about how to use specific supplements in specific quantities to upregulate the methyaltion cycle to function normally.

WARNING: The methylation cycle is a basic cellular process that occurs in every cell on our body. Upregulating the cycle should only be done in the care of a licensed doctor or professional because of its significant affects on the body.

TEEN BLAMES BIZARRE ACCENT, VIOLENT SEIZURE ON LYME DISEASE

You’d never know it sitting across from 16-year-old Elaina that she suffers from a rare and debilitating case of Lyme disease. The spark-plug of a teen is bright, bubbly, and optimistic in the face of what she describes as a four-year nightmare. She believes she was bitten at age 12 by a tick on a soccer field in her New Hampshire town and consequently developed a co-infection of Lyme and another bacterial parasitic illness called Bartonella.

LYME DISEASE

THE DISEASE

Lyme Disease is the illness caused after an individual is bitten by a tick infected with the Borrelia burgdorferi bacterium.

People who contract Lyme Disease more often than not are also Co-Infected with other bacterium the tick is carrying - Babesia, Erlichia (Anaplasmosis), and Bartonella.

SYMPTOMS

Lyme Disease symptoms include but are not limited to; The Bulls-Eye Rash, Fatigue (wired & tired), Chronic Exhaustion, Fever, Headache, Brain-Fog, Depression, Air-Hunger, and whole range of neurologic symptoms just to name a few.

CO-EXISTING ILLNESSES/ RELATED ILLNESSES

Lyme Disease can also co-exist with other illnesses such as Morgellons, Sogrens, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Fibromyalgia (FMS), Neurally Mediatated Hypotension (NMH/POTS), Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), Lyme Induced Autism (LIA) just to name a few.

DIAGNOSIS

Diagnosis is done through Lab Tests and clinical observation.

TREATMENT

Treatment for Lyme Disease vary considerably. Pharmaceuticals including Antibiotics, Anti-Parsitics, Anti-Bacterials, and Anti-Fungals are used. Strong Herbal regimens are also used. Detox regimens using strong chelators are used. Mindfulness meditation, Qi Gong, and Yoga are used. Vitamin infusion therapies are used. A wide range of Energy Medicine techniques are used. This can vary from NAET and BIOSET to Donna Eden's Energy Medicine Techniques. Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) Therapies like RIFING can be used. Electro-Stimulation can be used. Diet modification can be used. Eastern Medicine like Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) can be used.

OUTLOOK

The outlook is promising. Patients have lots of treatment options. However, treatment can take years and be grueling.

CONTROVERSY

Lyme Disease is steeped in controversy. The Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA) and the International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society (ILADS) are directly opposed to one another in the way they recommend treatment for patients. The IDSA believes that a 30-day Antibiotic regimen to treat Lyme Disease should be sufficient whereas ILADS believes that long-term Antibiotic treatment is indicated. This has led to direct attack by the established medical community on Lyme Disease Practitioners in the form of revoking practitioners licenses and subsequently limiting patients choices.

THE TOMATO EFFECT  -  Environmental Illness Documentary
Premiered in Seattle May 7, 2006 at Bastyr university.

Faun Kime's documentary 'The Tomato Effect' is a startling and rare look at a battle raging in medicine. Director Faun Kime chronicles ten doctors in the San Francisco bay area who lose their licenses while practicing Environmental Medicine and diagnosing chemical illness. Faun's father, Zane R. Kime M.D., was one of these physicians who responded with a spectacular legal battle that progressed to the appellate court and was about to set precedent. But when he ends up dead after a mysterious mountain climbing accident, Faun picks up a camera and investigates. She uncovers not only shocking secrets about her father's death, but the disturbing truth about the state of health care". The Tomato Effect documentary is sadly no longer available commercially. Its promotional web site closed long ago and all contact email addresses were shut down with it. In response to numerous requests from MCS sufferers over the last few years, MCS-International.Org finally decided, in the public interest generally, and for the benefit of the chemically injured everywhere,to put this excellent documentary film and the important environmental issues it raises, into the public domain - under a banner of fair use.

[The Movie Highlights in no uncertain terms what happens to doctors advocating for their patients who arent in lock-step with the main-stream medical community]

I REMEMBER ME (2000)
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) Documentary
WINNER - Best Documentary - Denver Film Festival 2000

Director Kim Snynder chronicles outbreaks of a mysterious disease in the United States that only later comes to be known as "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or CFS." "I Remember Me" is a story about patients afflicted with CFS and their day-to-day struggles of living with an Invisible Illness that the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has barely come to terms with. Notable interviews are with Soccer Gold Medalist Michelle Akers and Film Director Blake Edwards who both have been afflicted with the illness. Interwoven into the movie is the story of Stephen Paganetti. Paganetti a Connecticut teenager ill since the 10th grade rides an ambulance to his high school graduation, which he attends lying flat on a gurney. His participation becomes, in effect, a celebration of the human spirit and will to live.
