Progeria three months after the facilities were consolidated. To ensure the disease
was not genetic, the Director ordered spinals done on both soldiers, due to the fact
they are genetically identical except for their X5 and X7 specific gene sequences.
The doctor ordered to perform the DNA analysis went missing, along with the
report. 452 insisted she received no medical treatment while outside of Manticore.

The Director ordered that
X5-599 be relocated to another facility for rehabilitation and reprogramming. He
was given artificial organs to replace those removed while his body was being
harvested. To assist 599's body in regenerating tissue and muscle, nanocites
were placed in his blood stream. Once they begin to work, no one will be able to tell
599 has mechanical parts. As for the Seek-and-Destroy training, the bullet
damaged the part of his brain that allows him to retrieve images from his past,
meaning he follows orders without hesitation. However, should 599 see anyone or
anything that he associated with his past, his memories may begin to return.
