Barcode Day (BCD)
What is it? Barcode Day is a protest initiated by DA fans to remind FOX we're still waiting for a conclusion to our beloved show. BCD began on May 17th, 2003, one year after Dark Angel was cancelled in the US. And each year on May 17th loyal fans send the FOX producers letters telling them we're still waiting for a conclusion and requesting either a third season or a movie. And this year DA fans had a little more ammunition - Jessica Alba stated in an interview in January she would be willing to do a film to wrap up the show, if asked. See this article for more information. With the show's lead actress on board, fans still have hope for a real conclusion. What needs to be in my letter? While each letter is unique, all letters need to meet these basic guidelines:
Where do I send my letters? Letters can be sent to one of two addresses: Kevin Reilly Fox Broadcasting Entertainment President Fox Headquarters 10201 West Pico Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90035 USA* or Peter Liguori Fox Broadcasting Entertainment President Fox Headquarters 10201 West Pico Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90035 USA* NOTE: US residents do not need to include USA Day of the Pulse
Campaign (DOTP) DOTP is a
demonstration planned by DA fans to take place on the day of the pulse - June 1st,
2009. Loyal fans are planning to demonstrate outside the FOX headquarters on
this day, however there will be other forms of demonstrating before this to help
raise awareness about our cause. While things are still in the works, you can get a
feel for what we're planning by going
here. |
