To all those who might be interested:
Almost two years after its conception, I'm opting to leave the zine for personal reasons. I hope Jan decides to continue this project, although I don't know for certain if she will, I haven't yet spoken to her about it. If she does, I'll offer my comics and other sporadic articles, I just don't think I have what it takes to be one of the "editors" at this point in time. I'd like to see it continue, but I would prefer to be a bystander than a member. If she does continue, I urge anyone who reads this message to assist her in any way possible- write articles, draw covers, review things, critique the style of the zine- all of this is an enormous help when doing a zine, and I'd like to see it succeed, even though I'm no longer a part of it.
If she chooses not to continue it, I hope that someone takes the initiative (or even if she does!) and creates a way we non-musical people (and some who are musical) can express ourselves verbally. Start a zine. They're fun. I may end up working on one again in the future, but I need a vacation from this literary world right now.
It's been fun kids. I liked being recognized at shows as "the zine girl", but, as someone very wise once said, "It's better to burn out than fade away."
