here's what you need to know:
what: seat seven is a zine [read: self-printed magazine], pretty much unintentionally locally-based (so we only know suburbia!) it's mostly print, but this site houses the articles found in each issue. The fifth issue will be is currently out (as of April 5th) and if you want a copy of it, or any other issue (at a slight cost for all but #5) please contact us. [email protected] .

who: Jan and cera are the founders. Meghan was once considered a part, but never really got into it. The Ashleys are a part somehow too: Ashley H. provides support, both moral and financial, and Ashley B. gives up the love and is our streetteam.

when: It all began on May 18 2002. The most recent release was issue #5 on April 5. The next one is slated for May 16 (or around then).

where: (as in "where can i find this thing?") if you know us or think you can recognize us, you can just come up to us and ask us for one. if you don't think you can, you have a few options: find someone who can, email us and try to figure out who we are/how to get it to you, or wait for a copy to float your way. [email us at [email protected]]

how: ("how much?") donations are always nice... pennies to bills, we don't care. (we frequent coinstar, so feel free to give us whatever's floating around in your pockets... lint included.) we also enjoy other forms of "payment" like neat tricks, zine trades (or merch trades for all of you musical people), or you can just be really nice to us and we'll give you a copy. or tell us you don't have any money but you're still interested in reading it. if you do this and you feel bad for not donating, i present you with two options: 1. tell everyone about seat seven, even if you're telling them you don't understand the comics and you think it sucks. (or) 2. tell us what you thought! we really really like it when people give us feedback! we don't want mashed potatoes... yes. we said that right. no potatoes please.

That's for the current issue. Back copies, sadly, will be at cost. The cost will probably be around 50 cents (maybe slightly more, maybe slightly less). Whether or not we'll waiver on accepting money or other forms of "payment" is yet to be determined.

why: We felt like writing about things we enjoyed. cera wanted a place to publish her comics. We wanted to create a forum, or something close to it, where local people could react to events and ideas and share their reaction (which has been done in several wonderful and graciously donated articles). And did we mention we get to meet a lot of really f-ing amazing people this way? There's almost no better way to start a conversation than "Would you be interested in a zine?"

so that's the information on this project. we get to be kinda lame now and give our shoutouts... thanks to everyone who has linked us, asked us questions, answered our questions, responded to polls, lets us hand out fliers, helped us hand out fliers, or just told us (even if we thought you were just being nice) that this wasn't all a big joke, taken a zine, and told us what you thought [even if it was in a less-than-tactful way].

Tell us what you think!
