Seasons of Eight
Where Magick really does happen

    Seasons of Eight was originally going to be Seasons are Afoot. Seasons - because the seasons are inevitable and many people like to change their meals according to the season. In thinking about the menu change brings about the idea to have a menu that changed with the season and even more so to change with the Sabbats. Afoot - meaning that to myself, and others, that the seasons are quite obviously there and forever about.

A lot of people where being mistaken in the meaning of the name and so it no longer felt right. After searching and searching for a new name that meant a similar thing I come to  realise that nothing could replace the name Seasons are Afoot. Up until the early days of 2008 I was happy to stay with the name and then I was told a certain Cafe was up for sale. Now thinking since this was not the final goal should I use the entire name or something similar? So I started thinking about similar names.. just seasons or Four seasons... and then I thought, wait! There's eight sabbats.. and they have a lot to do with the seasons so.. eight seasons (nah that sounds crap)..hmm Seasons of Eight! And hence the name stuck well and will remain the name for both Cafe and final goal.

This also explains what our logo is made of. The S8 in the middle
is the initials together as part of the main focal point. The 5 branched
tree is my representation of the tree of life and in this case it also
holds the four typical modes of the seasons. The eight branched
symbol in the middle acts as the wheel of the year, a calendar-like
reference of the sabbats, and of course the Moon phases on the outer
edge. The Moon has a powerful, high energy impact on a lot of things,
including the seasons and how things change.
