Sea Scout Ship 801 was chartered in December, 1999.  We have made several trips, including sailing trips to the Spoil Islands in the Indian River area of the Treasure Coast and the Florida Keys.  We have participated in the Miami Rendezvous, which is an annual 4 day competition for Sea Scouts.  We have competed in the Tampa Bay Regatta, also.  We are active in community service projects and have received a unit conservation award, called the Hornaday Award.  In 2002 we sailed the Bahamas on the Desert Mariner with Captain Rich. Summer 2003, we flew to  Nicaragua to attend Spanish School and surf the Pacific coast.
Join us!  Sea Scouts is for guys and gals from age 14 to 21.  Interested adults may also join us.  We have several sailboats and motorboats at our disposal.                       Come sail with us sometime.

   The Sea Promise
As a Sea Scout I promise to do my best:
   To guard against water accidents
To know the location and proper use of the
lifesaving devices on every boat I board.
To be prepared to render aid to those in need
To seek to preserve the motto of the sea:

Women and Children First.

The Venturing Oath
As a Venturer, I promise to do my duty to        God and help strengthen America,
to help others, and to seek truth, fairness,        and
adventure in our world.
