Ships Committee Meeting 7:00 pm
 

Jan. 5th

                       Meet at Eatz a Pizza 3200 W. 7800 S.  You will need about 5.00 for pizza.  We will be doing unit
                       elections.  We will also discuss upcomimg activities.  We will meet at 6:00 pm.
 

January 8
                        Special Project - We have been asked to assist a webelos den on earning their Citizen Activity pin.Contact
                        me for details

January 19
                        Ships meeting to finalize plans for Varsity Biathelon.  also continue working on rank advancements
                        location to be announced

                        Venture Leader Basic Training - Welby Stake center 4800 W 9000 S.  This training is required prior to
                        taking any Sea Badge course.  You can take it with all of us, or you may take it individualy with in your area

                        Also I have sent out info on various boating Safety courses being offered. contact me for more info

January 25th & 26th

                         Varsity Biathelon
                         Camp Tracy - Mill Creek Canyon -  Need to make sure you have cold weather gear.  Possible overnight
                         stay, otherwise we will leave early saturday morning Jan 26th for Camp Tracy.
 

February 9
                            Ships Meeting to prepare for Seabase Trip.  Also continue working on rank advancement

February 15-16
                            SeaBase Trip - Overnighter at SeaBase. will leave Friday Night to set up camp, spend the day saturday
                            at Seabase.  Cost 15.00 per person, plus you need mask, snorkle, swim fins(optional)  They have some
                            there you can rent.  More details at the Feb. 2 meeting

February 21
                           Fun - O - Ree - Thursday - 7:00 - 9:00pm at Utah Boys Ranch  5500 W Bagley Park Rd, West Jordan
                            Lots of fun activities and competition
 

March
                            There will be no general ships meeting due to the Merit Badge Pow Wow takes up 3 Saturdays.  However
                            there may be a Special Meeting planned for updates or those not attending the PowWow
 

March 2, 9, 16
                            Merit Badge PowWow - Excellent opportunity to earn those much needed Merit badges.  Please contact
                            me if interested in attending and for list of merit badge classes being offerd

July 16

                            American Legion - Cub scout Pack Flag Ceremony
                                                         9400 S 700 E Approx.  At the LDS Church across the street from the Jordan School
                                                         District Offices.  Need to be there by 7:45 for instruction.  Activity begins at 8:00 pm

July 22
                            SeaScout Meeting at Valley Bowling Lanes
                                                              3951 W 5400 S
                                                               Kearns, UT

                                                            Need about 5.00 for Pizza, and 3.50 for bowling.  each game is about 2.00 or
                                                            so.
                                Uniform for youth is Class B's.  this will be a casual meeting.  Please invite your new recruits to
                                join us.

August 15
                             SeaScout Leader Training for Committee Members and Chartering unit reps.  Location will be
                                announced soon.  Training times is from 6:00 pm to about 8:30 pm.  Training site will probably be
                                at Council offices.

August 5 - 10        American legion Baseball games.  dates and times will be posted soon

September 7           Ships Meeting - We will be having our first meeting of the physical year

                                                            Swimming - so dont be late -   call if you plan on attending
                                We will be discussing the plans for the ship, upcoming events, leadership, and installation of the new
                                 Boatswain, and installation of the youth leaders.  We will also be discussing finances and fundraisers.

All SeaScout parents should attend, All leaders should attend, all chartered organization members should attend (American Legion members) all other interested parties should attend.

                                             This Saturday we are having a New orientation - Parents meeting. The meeting will be at 488
                                                E Winchester (6400 S)  It will be in suite 400.  There are 4 buildings in that area, it will be in
                                                the southeast section.  Afterwards we will plan the SeaBase trip
