our CONSTITUTION

Article I - Title
The title of our club is Student Environmental Action Society--the school recycling club.

Article II - Purpose
The purpose of the club is for students, inside and outside of the club, to get involved and take actions toward the improvement of the school environment. The purpose is for the students to be able to provide the school with service that will be for the purpose of keeping the surrounding environment in the best shape.

Article III - Membership
Any Central High School student is welcome to join and participate in the club's activities. Students will be given the opportunity to earn community service hours. In order for one to receive community service credit and to become a full-fledged member, one must attend at least ten meetings during the course of one year.

Article IV - Officers
There are two presidents, two vice-presidents, two business managers, and two public relations managers. If there is a need for the removal of an officer, the official members will hold a meeting accompanied by the club sponsor. During the meeting both sides of the story should be told and a vote will be taken regarding the fate of the officer. When two-thirds of the club members have agreed on the banishment of the officer, only then will a course of action be taken.

Article V - Meetings and Activities
During the meetings, SEAS will decide upon the weakest links in the schools environment and discuss how we can improve it. Then we will plan all the necessary steps that need to be taken to execute the activities.

Article VI - Amendments
Amendments and other important resolutions will be decided upon the club's majority vote. Two-thirds of the members must agree upon a decision before it can be passed as one of the club's constitutional rights.

Article VII - Ratification
This constitution will be put in effect immediately with the approval of the school administration, the sponsor, as well as the members of the club.
