| Early in my 18th year, back in 1989, I found out that I am the eldest, living, of 14 of my father's children, my mother being his 2nd wife. This website is dedicated to locating my brother's and sisters! It was a profound moment for me, only having known about my two younger sisters from early in my childhood yet living as an only child due to the divorce of my parents, to find that there were sisters and brothers that I had not even imagined would exist. I, after my own divorce and the closeness of family which my second marriage has brought me, have decided to do everything that I can to locate my siblings. The information that I have on my siblings is VERY little. I am asking for your help in finding them and making my dream come true. My father's frist marriage yielded a son. Both his wife and son were killed in an auto accident in early 1968. My sister, Michelle S. Lamkin was born in Monterey County, California on December 22, 1973. I grew up knowing about her, and had even seen her several times. The last time in June of 1992, at my apartment, in La Mesa, California, where I lived while my ex-husband was stationed at Naval Air Station Miramar. My father, Rodger Jay Lamkin and his 3rd wife, Linda Susan (Sakata) Lamkin also had another daughter, Toshiko Louise Lamkin. She was born somewhere in Arizona between 1974 and 1975. I can remember seeing her only once, when she was very small and still learning how to walk. After her divorce from my father, Momma Linda and the girls were last known to have resided in Gardena or Redondo Beach, California. My father, after another childless marriage and divorce, married a lady named Sandra, in Tucson Arizona and they had 2 children. My brother, Calvin Lamkin and my sister, Myra Kathleen Lamkin (her middle name was taken from my name). I only found out about them when I went to visit my father in April of 1989. he was divorced from their mother then, but I got an address and phone number and called their house. Their mother allowed me to come visit them. At that time, Cal was about 12 and Myra about 10, so that would make them born about 1977 and 1979 respectively. I do know that Sandra was divorced from my father and has since re-married, moved and taken Myra with her. You might be happy to know that using this wonderful, new-fangled thing called the internet, I located my little brother Calvin. He is alive and well and in the Air Force. We have made plans to meet, again, when he returns stateside, as he is on active duty overseas. We keep in touch via a novel idea called e-mail! Those are the siblings that I have more information on than just a name. I do know that there was a younger sister born in Arizona whose name was Chablis, as well as two younger brothers, although I do not know their names. That makes 9 of us so far. I know of 5 more children that my father is supposed to have, but do not know names, dates, places or even if they are living or not. And that makes 14! Thank you for taking the time to read all that I have written here, because you may just have the link that I have been waiting for. I would also like to extend my help to any of you who are looking for lost family members. If we all help eachother, then we might just find them a whole lot faster. Take Care, God Bless and Happy Hunting! |
