A Day at the Feldberg
16.Feburary 2003
I woke up today very early and realized that it was going to be a beautiful day.  Not wanting to stay indoors, I decided to be spontanious and break away from my Sunday morning routine of coffee in the city of Frankfurt.  It was time to get out into the fresh (yet very cold) air and sunshine.  I decided to take a ride to the Feldberg - a small "mountain" about 20 minutes from where I live.  As I drove to the top, I realized that it had snowed the night before.  I had only been here once before in a heavy rain so I did not know what to expect.  It was FANTASTIC!!  I am not one who normally likes the snow and cold weather ( I would rather be on a beautiful beach where it is warm and sunny) but today it brought out the best in me.  I went for a 1 hour walk through the woods, watched the children playing in the snow and actually did a little sledding by myself!

Here are a few pictures from this mornings unplanned  adventure -
Remember, never wait until it's too late to enjoy yourself!!

Have a great week,  Mike
