MARK'S BLUNDERS

Disciples washed hands before meal?

(Mark 7:2-4) And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen,
hands, they found fault.
For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding
the tradition of the elders.
And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other
things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of
tables.

The evidence of the Talmud is that in the time of Jesus, ritual washing of hands before meals was obligatory only
on the priests. But Mark didn't have any idea of that!

A Geographical Mistake made by Mark!

(Mark 5:1) And they came over unto to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gerasene.

The above verse refers to the Sea of Galilee's eastern shore as the country of the Gerasene. This translation is
based on the fact that the best and oldest manuscripts for this verse all read "the country of the Gerasenes."
However, the Sea of Galilee's eastern shore cannot qualify as the land of the Gerasenes because Gerasa
(modern Jerash) is more than thirty miles to the southeast. In addition, the account, which follows verse 1,
requires a nearby city with a steep slope leading down to the Sea of Galilee. This could not possibly be Gerasa.
Gerasa is simply too far away, and there is no slope running all the way from that site to the Sea of Galilee.

In the KJV, Mark 5:1 reads, "the country of the Gadarenes," but this is based on inferior readings from the Greek
texts. The best and oldest manuscripts read "the country of the Gerasenes." In any event, Gadara, though closer
than Gerasa, is still too far away to fit, since it is located about six miles southeast of the Sea of Galilee.

Did the people of Jesus' generation see any signs?

No:
(Mark 8:12) And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? Verily I say
unto you,
There shall no sign be given unto this generation.

Yes:
(Mark 16:20) And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with (them) and confirming the
word with signs following
. Amen.

Mark's little knowledge about Jewish Customs?

Mark had very little knowledge about the Jewish Customs, therefore, he made many blunders about Jewish Customs in his Gospel. He even didn't have any idea that in Palestine, Synagogues had only one official or ruler. Matthew corrected Mark's blunder in his Gospel:

(Mark 5:22) One of the Synagogue Officials named Jairus cam up, and on seeing him fell at his feet.

(Matthew 9:18) While he was saying these things to them,
a Synagogue Official came and and bowed down before him, and said "My daughter has just died; but come and lay your hand on her; and she will live."

Mark takes Moses (PBUH) as God!

Mark was so narrow-minded, that he took Moses as God, but again Matthew tried his best to save Mark:

(Mark: 7:10)
For Moses said "Honor your father and your mother; and he who speaks evil  of father or mother, is to be put to death."

(Matthew 15:4)
For God said "Honor your father and your mother; and he who speaks evil  of father or mother, is to be put to death."

A Jewish Man does women's work according to Mark!

Another blunder of Mark about the Jewish Customs,  says that a Jewsih man carrying a pitcher or water, but again it was Matthew who tried to saves Matthew, knowing his blunder:

(Mark 14:13)  And he sent two of his disciples and said to them "
Go into the city, and a man will meet you carrying  a pitcher of water, follow him."

(Matthew 26:18) And he said "
Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him 'The teacher says my time is near; I am to keep Passover at my house with my disciples'. "

Mark mistakes Malachi as Isaiah!

Mark again making a false statement. This time he is mistaking Malachi as Isaiah. The prediction that is written in Malachi 3:1, Mark mistook that statement by Isaiah:

(Mark 2:1) As it is written in
Isaiah the prophet "Behold I send my messanger ahead of you, who will prepare your way....."

Mark's Extra Commandment!

Mark 10:19 misquotes the Ten Commandments and inserts  An Extra Commandment "Do not defraud". Matthew 19:18-20 sticks to the original commandments.

Another Blunder of Mark.

(Mark 4:11) And he (Jesus) was saying to them (disciples) "
To you has been given the mystery of the Kingdom of God, but those who are outside get everything in parables."

Mark tried to show us how Jesus (PBUH) told his disciples that the "Mystery of God's Kingdom is given to them" so this verse clearly means that the disciples were aware of the Mystery of God's kingdom. But Mark forgot his quote of 4:11, because he made an opposite oppinion ahead:

(Mark 4:40-41) And He (Jesus) said to them (disciples) "Why are your afraid? Do you still have no faith?" They became very much afraid and said to one another "Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"

Mark claims in 4:11 that the disciples had knowledge of the Mystery of God's Kingdom, but opposite to that in 4:40-41, Mark describes quite opposite thing. Because if the disciples knew the mystery, then why they became afraid? And even doubted in Jesus
