What's a zine? Zine: comes from the word magazine. In fandoms based on television and movies, the term applies to a collection of original stories involving characters from the show or movie, or inspired by the show or movie. When printed out, often with illustrations of some sort, bound into book form, they are called a zine. Thanks to J & Zinelist for the definition.
There will be directories for Gen, Slash, and Adult Het fiction, and all listings will include the following (depending on availability of information): Story Title, Author, Pairing (if het or slash), Summary, Page Length, Zine Title, Author's Website, Zine Editor's Website/Distributor's Website, Availability Online, and Print Status (aka, in or out of print).
This list is ongoing, and therefore I'll always be looking for more information. Furthermore, I hope to add reviews of some of the zines/stories, so if anyone has read and wishes to contribute, please let me know! A note about publisher/distributor listings: while some zines are sold both by publishers and distributors, I will only list the distributor *if* the zine isn't available from the Publisher's website (and/or if the publisher is no longer active).
A note about zine status: If a zine is listed as Out of Print, it means no new copies are being made - however, there's always the possibility of getting a used copy.
