July Journal Continued
July 28, 2003 - Journal Entry #7 - Lounging w/Wusty

What a fabulous weekend.  "Home" alone - w/Caro, Chuck & Annie in DesMoines - I hunkered down with the remote and the dog and caught up on my boob tube.  Literally, nothing to do but let Wusty out to do his business, grab a snack & watch the Disney Channel (I've recently discovered Kim Possible & Even Stevens.  I was already a fan of Lizzie McGuire.)  Before you mock - Family Ringhofer has "alternative" cable -- like the Hallmark Channel and MTV2 -- but no TLC or E! -- so my choices are already steered towards cartoons/junior high dramas.   Then, for added spice, Wusty & I watched Napoleon (Golden retreiver puppy leaves home in a basket buoyed up by balloons to become a wild dingo on the Australian outback. Maybe a total of 4 lines uttered by humans and featuring the sweetest, if not slightly misguided, puppy.  We shed a tear.) on Sunday.
I totally miss Sadie - my beagle - to the extent that I've asked Jen to bring my teddy bear when she comes in September to see me off.  I'm not used to sleeping alone anymore.  Again, hopefully goats are domesticatable and good bed partners.
This weekend was a direct rebellion to the uber-stress I've been feeling.  After finishing my will and power of attorney forms last week, I needed a Peace Corps break.
And as a little kicker - I'm going to be the General Mills Champion of the Week, next week.  I'll be sure to post the blurb on here somewhere.
And finally - debt total reduced by 81% as of this morning's tally.
On to August
