on Writing

Writing is an eloquent art that suffices all of mans potentials. It satisfies mans inner most desire to communicate, i.e. to thrust himself forth into the consciousness of the other, even if this consciousness be only a possibility. At the least man brings his thoughts into his own consciousness.

Writing carries with it the strong pungent odor of self-gratification, serving an exceedingly self-centered purpose. The mere revelation of ones thoughts to another contains not even a tinge of benevolence. Benevolence, here, is just the by-product, satisfying part of the highly evolved stimulus towards chivalry.

Writing involves creating something from nothing. The most basic art, it requires simply something to write with and something to think with it. In fact, it consumes the least bit of energy to produce the greatest radical transformations in individuals, societies, and nations alike. The works of Karl Marx, Nietzsche, Ayn Rand and Shakespeare have carried enough significance to believe otherwise.
