Philosophy is a state of mind. A philosophical belief is a state of mind. How, then, could philosophy be taught any more than can a state of mind?

The foundation for a philosophy of the human being should depend upon a combination of two factors, namely logic and experience. Logic should be used as a sieve to filter out the truth while experiencing different ways of being human. We must first learn the art of being, then the science of logic, and finally adopt the strength necessary to accept the truth.

The Art of Being

When one achieves freedom of the mind from all inherent values including those enforced by society, one makes oneself available for transformation into another being. For, to be involves adopting a set of values that sustain self-preservation. And when one experiences different beings, the adoption of such values is inevitable. And as one passes through different states of being, one simultaneously passes through different sets of values. Eventually, one develops a perspective for every possible state of mind, and thus, every possible belief. Henceforth, one becomes a Philosopher.
