So, we're having a Rocket Glider Duration Contest.
The next question is: How do I find a kit or plans for rocket gliders? They don't seem to be
as popular as boost gliders, but there are a few interesting ones available.
- Edmonds Aerospace makes the Ecee rocket Glider Kit, which is relatively easy for
someone with basic modeling skills, who has worked with balsa kits before. The
kit is carried by Apogee Components
- Jeff Vincent has designed
some Rocket Gliders, and is willing to send plans.
Visit his site,
or email him at [email protected].
- Our own Silent Observer has also come up with a unique design, which he calls
the SpyGlass I.
A little more of a challenge to build, he has had some good results and nice flights with it.
All of the above are designed to use 13mm mini motors. There are a few other kit plans
available, on JimZ's site, which you might be
able to scale down from 18mm to 13mm.
If you find any good plans or kits, let us know! Drop an email.
Thanks in Advance!
