The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles
Poster Book 1992

What was your first encounter with the Indiana Jones character? "I must have been about 10 years when I saw Raiders of the Lost Ark . The scene with the big ball chasing Indy down that tube was one of the most memorable scenes of any movie I saw as a kid. It was the best movie I had ever seen.

Did you ever think you would be part of the legend?"No, it never even entered my mind."

How did you get this part? "
I went on an audition , and then a few callbacks. Then I met George Lucas and we hit it off. Finally they asked me for my suit size so I could shoot a real screen test in costume. A few weeks after that I found out that I got the role.

Is this your biggest part? "Oh, yea. I've done some commercials and TV movies, but this is the biggest thing yet."

How long have you been on the road, filming the show? " About six months."

Has this been an educational experience for you? " It really has been. Because of all the history involved, I've had to do research to prepare for my part. I've learned about Churchill, Picasso, ballet and, lots of things."

What parts of the world have you seen? "I've been to Czechoslovakia, Mexico, England, Spain - and Kenya, Lamu, and Nairobi in Africa."

Have there been any difficult points or scary moments during the filming? " When we were filming in Mexico, I was riding Hurricane, the horse that Harrison Ford rode in the movies I was riding at top speed following a truck that had the camera mounted on its back so it could shoot me as I rode. Hurricane got to close to the truck and slipped. I went flying, but I landed on my feet. Hurricane was okay, too, but it was scary for both of us."

Have you gotton to meet Harrison Ford? " No, but I'd love too. I've actually watch each of the 3 movies about 25 times. I studied how the character walks, turns around, rides a horse even how he tilts his hat. All the little details that help make people believe that this is really Indy."

What kind of sports do you enjoy? " Just about everything. I've been on hockey, basketball, and football teams. I love swimming, track, all kinds of stuff. Being a good athlete has sure helped me with all the physical work on the series. I had to learn to do stunt riding, and being an athlete really helped."

This all must be pretty exciting for you? " You bet. I just can't wait for people to see the show."
