The Celebrity Team Challenge is designed as a fun fund-raiser that puts
Hollywood and media celebrities behind the wheels of identical
"race-prepared" Dodge Neons to battle it out on the champ car course.
The most successful celebrity racers were Sean Patrick Flanery, who pretty
much seems to have given up his acting career for a full-time role as a
celebrity racer (he's hoping to segue into sports car racing with pal
Alfonso Ribeiro soon), and print media guy Dan Carney.

The event raised $127,000 for the Detroit Police Athletic League, bringing the five-year event total to more than $1.2 million for PAL.
