This film begins with a fairy tale told to a little girl who grows up into just that kind of beautiful princess. Only she's flesh and blood and mad-as-hell. Seventeen-year-old Ariella has stolen 25,000 dollars from her evil Father and run off with 26-year-old Arthur to escape what we'll find out to be both mental and physical abuse. She is on a quest to find her Mother whom she hasn't seen since she was seven. Her Father had told her that her selfish Mother had abandoned them and run away. While on the run the couple's car breaks down and Arthur hot-wires a new one which happens to have -- a dead body in the trunk. They lose the money and now unbeknownst to them a Killer, Limner, is hot on their trail. After a series of harrowing events and more dead bodies they capture Limner and in doing so change all of their lives forever. Everyone is transformed and all the madness leads to a place where "almost" everyone lives HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

Throughout this wickedly funny, fast-paced thriller, Ariella's dreams reflect a blending of reality with the fairy tale told to her by her mom. At times it appears that the fantasy world seeps into her real life and her real life seeps into her dreams as well. This blurring of the line between fantasy and reality is what gives HAPPILY EVER AFTER a unique feel and style.
