Char's Review of Treasure of the Peakcocks Eye

I recieved my movie towards the end of March, and being occupied with school, I was sad that I couldn't find time to watch it! The cover was enticing (but then what isn't enticing with Seans' picture on it?) The front of the cover has a painting like the usual Indiana Jones movie would have, and the back has a nice, large picture of Sean in "the hat" as I lovingly call it. :D

The movie itself was good, although not one of the best Young Indiana Jones movies. The storyline was good but went a tad too slow for my taste, plus the girl (I can't even remember her name) couldn't act to save her life. And no, I'm not speaking out of prejudice just because she got to kiss our handsome hero! Another thing I didn't like was when they had some Chinese pirates in the movie, and they dubbed their lines. I have a passionate hatred for dubbed movies. Most likely from my brothers constantly watching Jackie Chan movies. But I can't completely hate this movie becuase our beloved Sean is in it! :D

A good thing that came from the dubbed pirates was that Sean got to show off his Karate skills. There is a great fight scene with him and one of the pirates, that takes place on many levels of the ship.

I suppose I should give you a background on the plot huh? Indy and his friend Remy go in search of a treasure called the peakocks eye. They encounter evil Germans, pirates, and cannibals and end up stranded on an island. Throughout his adventures in this movie, Indy comes to realize that he doesn't need a treasure to make his dreams come true. Close enough? :D

Now back to Sean!
Sean looked great in this film! Then of course he looks great anyway but...well you understand. ;D For anyone who likes to see Sean with his shirt off, I highly reccomend this film becuase he either has his shirt partialy open, completly open, or off in this movie. Plus you get good closeup's of his hands and like Amy, (you're not alone!) his hands drive me nuts so its a major plus for me.

All in all I enjoyed this flick, not only for Sean but becuase I'm a major Young Indiana Jones freak and I'm now only missing 3 episodes! Thank you for giving me the oppertunity to watch, and review it!
