'War of the Worlds' seems to me to be similar to 'Broken Home Underworld' but is written from a different perspective, that of the person who is crowded and pressured by anyone - friends, an ex-partner, and is really what you'd sometimes like to say to them but don't have the guts, the time, whatever to do so, lol, so just read it!

'War of the Worlds'

I know your strangling me
Denying me of the air I need
Why can't you see
What i'm trying to say

You need to believe
What i'm trying to say to you
Get of of my way
Today

Don't want to see your papercut hair
Don't want to see little pit eyes
Don't want to see why you do this to me
Don't want to see you trying to care

(build up all through the last verse)

(chorus)

I think you gotta leave
To a place where I can breath
I had enough of your little
Stupid voice
I think I need to live
away from you

For the rest of my life
Don't want to see you again
Any time soon

I don't care if you body's
A perfect ten
I'll whistle that happy tune
Without you

(chorus)

Your thin little arms
Wrapped around my neck
I see it in your eyes
You have no conviction
I'm just a speck

(phone voice)

On this little planet
That we call home
I think oh damn it
i'd better
call you on the phone

Your obnoxious voice answers
I slam that phone down
Like we ever had a chance
I remember that last dance
I didn't enjoy it
No, it was no fun at all

I Don't want to see your papercut hair
I Don't want to see little pit eyes
I Don't want to see why you do this to me
I Don't want to see you trying to care

No
no
no
no
no
no
no I don't want to see you trying my patience
Every last vein inside me hates you
For ever more

(build up all through the last verse)

(chorus)

(build down to quiet acoustics)

(end)
