This seems to encompass a number of ideas i've explored in previous tracks but from a somewhat different angle. Starting off as a unenthusiastic moan on the tedium of everyday existence, it soon turns into an inspirational 'what-if' song that shows everybody that they can do it - leave this 'one horse' town and make themselves into something!

'Last Man Standing'

I get up
Go to sleep
What use is this life
anyway

I get up
Go to sleep
Same old damn routine
Every day

I look up
I look down
All I see
Is this one horse town

(chorus)

Yes I know I gotta leave
Gotta chase that dream
Have to make you all believe
Cuz i'm not part of the team
Its just me against the
Rest of the world

Whoa yeah, rest of the world, yeah!

(solo)

I see me
In the future
Living the life
I thought about
As a little guy
Dreaming high

I see you
In the future
Living the life
I'd rather be
without

I know what I have to do
Know what I gotta accomplish
I guess you all know to
Cuz life is a great big dish
Gotta take a drink
When the water's warm

(chorus)

Yes, yes, the rest of the world, yeah!..

(drum solo)

I don't like what you say
About what i'll be someday
You berate me in every way
In everything you say

I here you
Bitching too
About what I want to do

But I know
That'll i'll go
And just blow you away
today

(chorus)

I think I can do it
I have the power inside
I know you don't have a hope
in hell
Your hands are tied

Yes you think your great
Yes you think you are good
Yes you think that i'm your mate
Yes you are just deadwood

(long drum/guitar solo)

(chorus)

I know I got it inside
It can't go back and hide

I know I can do this
This ain't no hit and miss

This is certain
Rise of curtain
This is me
Being who I want to be

(chorus)

yes, yes, this is me, yeah, its me...
How I want to be, yeah!

(end on loud 'yeah')
