This is shorter, and similar to Everclear's Pale Green Stars - mellow and relaxed. It's talking about how you idolise someone etc and how you make them feel so much better for your worship. It also talks about how the person involved feels like a 'waste of space' compared with the idolised person. This song, though, is not really drawn from my own life...

'Ego Therapy'

(intro)

Sometimes I feel like
I am breathing your air
And I am stealing your smile
I think I'm a waste of space
Compared to you...

I feel as if I don't belong
Like everything I do around you
Is a mistake done wrong

I go home
I cry
I sit there
Head held in my hands
And wonder why
I did this my way

(solo)

I hope you feel better today
I give you ego therapy
Every day...

(solo)

I lie to you
I lie at home
Staring at the stars
Passing by

I fly away
I fly today
Passing the stars
In my way

I feel like i'm not worthy
Around you
I feel like a waste of space
In your room
When I sneak in at night

I say things I know that I shouldn't
I wish I did things
I know I couldn't...

(solo)

I hope you feel better today
I give you ego therapy
Every day...

(solo)

Massage your ego
Like your shoulders
Massage your ego
Like I wish I could

(solo)

I hope you feel better today
I give you ego therapy
Every day...

(solo)

Massage your ego
Like your shoulders
Massage your ego
Like I wish I could

(solo)

I see thin pale stars
Above me
Passing over the sky
They don't mind
What I do...

(repeat last four verses)

(slow fade end)
