1. Beginner Sewing Classes:  8 week session of sewing classes that cover hand sewing and machine sewing techniques as well as preparing fabric, following a pattern and an introduction to tailoring.  Various projects to choose from and make.  Completely hands-on!  Classes held in my home: $100.00 per student.  Classes held away from home: $150.00 per student.

3.  Shortgown Workshop:  This workshop is designed for beginner/intermediate sewers/re-enactors who would like to learn how to make a shortgown without the use of a commercial pattern.  Students can draft their own patterns in class or immediately start on their shortgowns using just their measurements, a tape measure and a piece of chalk.  Time: 4-6 hours  Cost: $50.00 (for workshop, not per student)  Materials Needed:  tape measure, pre-washed fabric or pattern material, pins, needle and thread, pencil, sewing machine (optional).

4.  Petticoat Workshop:  This workshop is especially designed for beginner sewers/re-enactors, but anyone is welcome.  Students will learn how to properly make an 18th century petticoat with a fitted waistband (rather than drawstring) without the use of a pattern.  Time: 3 hours  Cost: $30.00 (for workshop, not per student)  Materials Needed:  tape measure, pre-washed fabric, pins, needle and thread, pencil, sewing machine (optional).

5.  18th Century Clothing Class:  This lecture covers the basics of all forms of 18th century clothing from undergarments to outter wear, from women and children to men and from birth to death.  This class is designed for the beginner re-enactor, history buff, or costumer who'd like to learn more about 18th century clothing.  Time: 5-6 hours  Cost: $60.00

6.  Women's Clothing Class:  This lecture covers the basics in women's clothing of the 18th century (1750-1785) from undergarments to outter wear in all stations in life.  This class is designed for the beginner re-enactor, history buff, or costumer who'd like to learn more about 18th century women's clothing.  Time:  3 hours  Cost: $30.00.

7.  Lectures for Schools:  45 minute to 1 hour clothing or 18th century life lectures for the classroom from 3rd to 12th grade.  I come completely outfitted in reproduction 18th century clothing with other garments and accoutrements to show and tell.  (No weapons will be brought) Cost: $20.00 (longer lectures are available for an additional charge)

8.  Pall Mall, Fun for All:  This hands-on classes teaches people about Pall Mall, and 18th century game similar to croquet and golf.  Students learn the history of Pall Mall and how to play a version of the game popular in the 18th century.  Great for children and adults alike.  Perfect for the golf fanatic.  Time:  several hours (great for an afternoon after a brunch)  Cost: $40.00

9.  Historical Clothing Consulting:  For theatre groups, operas, drama clubs and dance troupes.  Replace those hokey costumes with period correct garments.  I can advice the director and/or costumer onwhat was worn and how it was worn for that era, particularly the 18th century.  Cost: $10.00 per hour OR $30.00 per school drama club show, $75.00 for amateur theatre groups (incl. colleges) per show, $200 for professional theatre groups per show.
Prices reflect the cost of classes only.  Additional charges may be applied if classes are held 20 miles or more away from Amsterdam, NY.  If the class is more than 3 hours away, I will require accomodations at an additional cost.
