Christine's Nook

Hello, I'm Christine and let me introduce myself to you.  I'm a down to earth person who loves animals, music, and nature.  I'm an easy-go-lucky girl who knows what she's doing.  And I'm quick to learn things.  However, I don't want to be someone popular.  I always wanna attribute to God my accomplishments and I don't desire any kind of position than the one given me by Him.  Although life for me is hard, I came to appreciate it.  It made me stronger, compassionate, and taught me to trust Divine Providence.  I mean, I'm not saying my life is great.  But what I'm pointing here is that I don't blame anyone if my life turned like this.  Hardships are just trials.  I realized this is God's will and He has some other plans for me if only I would cooperate with Him.  Yes, I always try to look positive and keep my feet grounded despite negative things looming around.  But one thing that really keeps me going is my Catholic faith.  Indeed, it's my life and I hope and pray that I may always be a docile instrument in the hands of my Creator.  Hence, this page is dedicated to the very neck of Roman Catholicism -- the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Below you'll also find my Catholic favorites...

Patron Saints

 St. Christina

She is my first and foremost patron saint as I bear her name. Although my mother told me that she named me after Jesus Christ (Christine means little follower of Christ), Holy Catholic Church teaches us that patron saint is the one your name bears, or the feast days of your birth/baptism. (Patron saint also applies to things, places, and nature of profession.) This said, it doesn't mean I take for granted Jesus Christ as He is the sole reason why I exist

St. Gregory of Nazianzen

     On my birth day

St. Basil the Great

     On my baptismal day

St. Joan of Arc

I like her being intrepid

     On my confirmation,

     I chose 2 saints

St. Scholastica

I like her as she was a nun. Plus a twin sister of St. Benedict of which I have as a medal and wear around my neck

Favorite Pope

St. Pius X

He's the pope well known as anti poisonous Modernism and Freemasonry. It's a pity I haven't lived in his papacy days. Good thing, though, he left encyclicals for the use of later generations (like me!)

I have special petitions to these Saints

St. Therese of the Child Jesus

St. Philomena

St. Rita

St. Aloysius

This Saint is for my father

St. Raphael

Guardian Angel

My Guardian Angel

I always pray to my guardian angel. In the morning to help me in my duties, during the day to assist me in case of sudden death, and in the evening to accompany me in my sleep. How about you? Do you pray to your guardian angel? If not, you should start now. For he is always by your side taking care of you

5 Priest Saints who founded religious congregation that introduced me to different aspects of Catholicism

St. Don Bosco

Salesians introduced me to educating Catholic youths most especially boys. My eldest brother studied in one of his schools and my other brother chose St. Dominic (the boy beside St. Don Bosco) as his patron saint in confirmation

St. Arnold Janssen

SVDs intoduced me to the world of missionaries

St. Vincent de Paul

Vincentians introduced me to the love of charity most especially for the poor

St. Alphonsus Liguori

Redemptorists introduced me to devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary

St. Ignatius Loyola

Jesuits intorduced me to the sublime talent of a priest

Archbishop Lefebvre

But above else, it was the SSPX who summed it up all for me. The SSPX priests were the ones who cleared my mind when I'm in doubt; who showed me to make no compromise with evil -- cost what it may; who gave me the real essence of holy priesthood; who taught me that the soul is more important than the body; who inspired me to love sanctification and perseverance; who sailed me to the wonders of Gregorian Latin hymns; and who, above everything, opened my eyes to every truth of Catholicism. I thank God that He used His servant Archbishop Lefebvre to found this noble congregation. And I continuously pray that they will never stray from the right road
