| Family: Dasyatidae Scientific name: Gymnurapoecilura (Shaw) Local name: Pari tembikar, Pari kelawar Distribution: Shallow coastal waters to about 30m depth Size commonly caught: Disc size up to 20cm long and 38cm wide Notes: Has a very broad and depresses disc with 9-12 black bands on its tail. Tail spine serrated, possibly poisonous and may inflict a serious wound. |
