Notes:
Has a rebust elongate body with a metallic blue lusture and rather large adipose fin. Adipose fin entirely black or bearing a large black blotch on upper half. Dorsal and pectoral fins have a very thick and strong coarsely granulated spine. Spines can inflict painful wound. Tip of dorsal fin produced into a long black filament. has 3 pairs of barbels around mouth. |
