| Family: Nemipteridae Scientific name: Nemipterus delagoae (Smith) Local name: Kerisi Distribution: Coastal waters to about 100m depth Size commonly caught: 15-25cm total length Notes: Body of fish slender with 5-7 greenish-yellow longitudinal upward-curved stripes. Has a milky white anal fin 3-4 longitudinal yellow stripes. Usually caught in deeper waters. Large individuals are sold fresh. |
