Here the central road meets with the Willamette River and must turn. More specifically,
this is looking east from the north shore of the Middle Fork. Just over that island
is the junction with the Coast Fork. The hill behind the river is the last hill
on the west side of the Willamette before it reaches the expansive Willamette Valley.
