Beyond this last clearing the road leads to the entrance to the park's wildlife
sanctuary. This sample of native Northwest forest forms a buffer between the last
orchards and the Willamette River. Here another native carpet of Pacific Bleeding
Heart grows mingled with another species I do not immediately recognize.
